A body in motion
An expressive statue holds a body at its point of highest tension. Gestural statues for sale come in metal, granite and other materials that can carry the swing.
The statue leans, reaches, throws its head back. Because details recede, the posture grows stronger: the body becomes a single gesture. This is no distortion for its own sake but a condensation that speaks to the viewer directly.

Metal or granite
Metal allows wide overhangs and thin limbs, granite gives posture weight and permanence. In the 1,000 to 2,000 euro and 2,000 to 5,000 euro bands both materials appear in very different executions.
What to watch
