Such pieces need space and side light so that ridges and hollows cast shadows. A dark background lets light stone stand out more. Ask about breaks: if intended they belong to the form, if accidental they should be mentioned. Marble wax and a soft cloth are enough for care. Marble is also delicate at thin spots, so always lift gestural pieces by the body and never by protrusions.
