Pans, long exposures and focus at a distance produce the typical veils. On an aluminum carrier the coating holds these veils with sensitivity. Water and foliage especially gain an almost painterly quality.

Space and lighting
A quiet room with subtle light gives the picture a chance to work. Metal needs no frame but likes a few centimeters of air all around. Direct spotlight creates hot spots that are best avoided.
Notes for buying
Ask about the original format, edition and the type of coating. An unedited photo should be described as such, along with the process used to put it on metal. One detail on care: clean the surface only dry or with a slightly dampened cloth, without harsh agents. The soft rendering of the picture lasts as long as the coating stays intact.
