Fine layers on a primed ground
Photorealism on paper with oil paint is rare and demanding, since paper hardly forgives mistakes. Photorealist paintings in oil on paper between 500 and 1,000 euro for sale will appeal if you value extreme fineness in a small format.
The paper ground is sealed so the oil does not sink in. On this smooth surface the finest lines can be set until hair, water drops, or metal edges look photographed. The surface stays astonishingly calm. Even so, the paint stays rich and even.

Small but dense
Works of this kind are usually handy and viewed up close: on a desk, a shelf, a small wall. A suitable frame with a mat raises the concentration the picture already asks for. On small surfaces they act like windows.
Paper belongs under glass
Oil on paper needs glass, distance, and a stable backing. Ask whether the sheet is mounted and which paper was used. At this price level, a clean condition without waves matters for originals. Ask about the thickness of the backing as well.
