Light over dark
Where watercolor glows and gouache covers, two related techniques meet on one sheet. Anyone looking at watercolor paintings with gouache for sale wants works that combine transparency and opacity.
Gouache lets painters set bright accents onto a dried watercolor ground, which pure watercolor does not allow. Out of see-through backgrounds grow blossoms, waves or glints of light. This device gives sheets depth without making them look crowded.

Frame and location
Both paints are sensitive to light, so keep the sheet out of the sun. A mat and glass are part of the package. In a room, watercolor-gouache works feel light and airy, which suits a bedroom, hallway or desk. The selection includes expressive works and sheets under 500 euro.
Looking closely while viewing
Tilt the sheet slightly toward the light: watercolor barely shines, while gouache looks matte and a little denser. These differences show where the painter chose which paint. The clearer the division, the more deliberate the work.
