The order changes the picture: when the charcoal lies below, it glimmers like a shadow through the paint. When it lies above, it stands clear and sharp. You can read both in the picture when you step close with raking light. Large, calm zones of acrylic make the charcoal lines stand out all the more clearly.

Size, frame, light
At this level, larger formats are common among originals. On canvas a shadow-gap frame fits, on paper a mat with glass. Neutrally lit walls let black and color work equally.
Care and notes
A final coat secures the charcoal but sometimes takes away a little of its velvet. Ask whether and how that was done. Remove dust only with a soft brush and without pressure.
