Paint on graphite, graphite on paint
Painting and graphite meet on equal terms in the larger format. Mixed-media painting with graphite for sale at 2,000 to 5,000 euro offers works with a physical presence.
In large paintings graphite is often used as a ground: paint on top looks cooler and deeper than it would on white. Conversely, graphite draws lines across the color field that read like notes on a map. The picture gains structure from this.

What the class delivers
At 2,000 to 5,000 euro one generally expects generous formats, considered composition and secure craftsmanship. The work usually has an attitude of its own, not just a decorative motif. The picture should also hold up in your room when it hangs alone on the wall.
Notes on mounting
Check weight and back: metal brackets, a hanging rail or a stretcher with cross brace are common systems. Plan two people to hang large works. The graphite is protected by varnish or glass, depending on the support.
