Combinations with enamel
In mixed media, enamel rarely stands alone: it is framed, layered or joined with other materials. Mixed media with enamel from 2,000 to 5,000 euro is for sale as works in which glass, metal and paint cooperate.
Enameled parts are often joined with wood, paper, wire or canvas. The glass sets highlights, the other materials provide calm. At price levels from 2,000 euro on, this yields complex pieces in which every junction is planned.

Mind the hanging
Heavy parts need a construction that spreads the load. Ask about the back, rail and anchor advice. Whether parts are removable also matters for transport, above all when the piece has to pass through narrow stairwells.
Everyday care
Enamel can be cleaned with a slightly damp cloth, paper and wood parts cannot. So check which materials you have in front of you. Keep the work out of direct sun and out of humid rooms so the joins stay stable.
