Street meets rock
Stone and pop seem like opposites: the heavy and old here, the colors of the street there. Urban and pop mixed media with natural stone from 500 to 1,000 euro is for sale if you find that clash exciting.
Pop and urban art rely on signs, lettering, spray traces and stencils. On stone these means gain weight: spray paint sinks into the pores, edges stay grainy, lines break on veins. Joined by collage or marker, a picture with touch and irony appears.

Interplay in the room
A stone slab with a sprayed motif looks as strong against a concrete wall as in front of wood or plaster. Do not hang it too high, since the tactile quality is part of the effect. Ask about weight, size and hanging.
Durability
Stone is robust, but paint on it is sensitive to scratches and wet. Check whether a protective lacquer was applied. The price range of 500 to 1,000 euro brings small to medium formats that arrange well in groups.
