The bold, geometric black forms are articulated in a dialogue of solids and voids where negative space acquires as much presence as the material itself. The arrangement of these rectangular and cubic elements evokes my search for my metaphysical empty box, that spiritual receptacle where humankind can find itself. The projected shadows are as important as the solid forms; together they construct an emotional work that transcends the merely physical. There is no ornamentation, no concession to the decorative: only the true structure of form in space, the honesty of the material presented without masks. The space between the forms is the true protagonist, that active void where Spiritual Energy dwells.
