This oil painting depicts the pretty village of Eygalières, located at the foot of the Alpilles mountains in the Bouches-du-Rhône department. It was created using glazing techniques over a period of several months, based on sketches and watercolors made on site. I eliminated everything that didn't seem interesting to me (cars, new houses, poles, etc.) to keep only the essentials. It is framed by a discreet 1 cm wide varnished wooden strip.
