on a piece of beautiful handmade black paper, with 4 deckled edges, I have printed the Raven in black and the Moon in gold. Once dry I add the flowers in moonlit colors. These monoprints go through the press several times as I overlap and add the flowers until I have the result I want. Handmade paper has a tendency to undulate a bit, and when put through the printmaking press this can make for a bit of cricking of the paper.
Deckled edges means the edges are slightly uneven something that is treasured about handmade papers, the print really lends itself to being floated in a frame, but you can of course also mat and frame it just like you would with other papers.
the handmade paper measures 55 cm x 75 cm ( 22" x 30" ) with uneven edges.
The printed area measures 56 x 60 cm ( 22" x 23" )
The print is signed and numbered 1/1 as it is a monoprint
I ship from my studio in Denmark with many years experience in packing my art so it arrives safely.
