This watercolour was made in-situ near Saint-Mathieu de Tréviers just before sunset. It features the east sides of the'Pic Saint-Loup' and the 'Hortus'. These mountains are famous landmarks in the Montpellier area. The lower half is occupied by vineyards,olive trees and scrubland, with two wine estates at the top.
