This monotype created using the pochoir technique presents the leaves of the Norway maple (Acer platanoides) as a rhythmic interplay of light and shadow. The characteristic leaf shapes do not appear as solid forms but as bright silhouettes emerging from a dark ground—like impressions of leaves drifting in the wind or resting on the forest floor.
The soft, slightly blurred edges give the forms a fleeting quality. Between clarity and dissolution, a dynamic tension unfolds, evoking movement and transience.
