The beach near Staberhuk, located on the southeastern tip of Fehmarn, is considered by geologists and fossil collectors to be one of the most fascinating stretches of the island. The massive boulders and stones found there—along the rugged cliffs of Staberhuk and the rocky shoreline—actually originated in Scandinavia (primarily Sweden) and were transported to this location during the last ice age.
